Front-end Web Developer
Job Location: Baltimore, Maryland
Remote Status: Hybrid

 

 

Daily and Monthly Responsibilities

 

  • • Be an innovator and builder on a team that is using modern front-end technologies and inventing new ways to delight customers.
  • • Own customer-facing features from design, implementation, testing, and through deployment.
  • • Apply analysis techniques and procedures to gather and then translate business requirements into functional/technical specifications to ensure repeatable and consistent UI and UX across applications.
  • • Ensure the technical feasibility of UI/UX designs.
  • • Work with visuals provided by UX Designer to implement customer facing responsive web applications.
  • • Using functional specifications and designs, produces all or part of the deliverables.
  • • Optimize applications for maximum speed and scalability.
  • • Help develop front end of modern web applications working with other developers.
  • • You recognize and adopt best practices in front-end development: design, testing, version control, documentation, build, deployment, and operations
Required Skills and Qualifications

 

  • • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information technology, or engineering.
  • • 1+ years of experience with front-end development.
  • • Understanding of responsive web design and web accessibility.
  • • Unit/integration testing experience.
  • • Experience with cross browser testing and debugging/troubleshooting using browser developer tools.
  • • Experience with developing, maintaining, and updating the content of web sites.
  • • Experience with developing code and maintaining web-based applications.
  • • Experience with HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and cross-browser compatibility issues.
  • • Experience designing and integrating RESTful APIs.
  • • Experience with UX and user-centered design.
  • • Experience with web development libraries, including jQuery and Bootstrap.
  • • Knowledge of information architecture, workflow design, information management, and governance for site usability.
  • • Ability to display a portfolio showcasing broad design and development competencies, including usability, UI design, development best practices, and comprehension of web technologies.
  • • Ability to be a self-starter, pay strict attention to detail, and multitask across multiple projects and clients in a fast-paced, team-based environment.
